My story…

A warm welcome! If you're here, you're likely curious about my journey and how it led me to support women like you. Here are the highlights.

Growing up in a family marked by divorce, I experienced trauma early on. Balancing the demands of collegiate volleyball with the absence of a stable family environment was my reality. Gratefully, I married my husband who answered a big “yes” to my Primal Question PQ4 “am I wanted.” (check out the free assessment on homepage). My 20s were an equal blend of fun, challenging growth, and ignorant bliss. Then came our journey of adoption of our two precious sons.

Adoption is beautiful, but often entangled with deep trauma, namely attachment trauma. Little sweet baby has no idea why birth-mom of approx. 9 months is no longer around. Something now my heart holds with profound tenderness, but sadly knew so little about at the time.

Needless to say, I was emotionally fragile and woefully ill-equipped to travel the hard road of attachment issues. Not to mention a PQ of “am I wanted” (my unmet emotional need, the “thing under the thing” for me) trying to attach to a baby who didn’t seem to “want” me further fueled my spiral. My overwhelmed nervous system collapsed, and I found myself in physical and emotional wreckage. Years of necessary naps to function, persistence pain, doctor appointments, scans, and blood tests.

As I slowly crawled my way out of my pit, healing came by way of yoga therapy, smart holistic practitioners, my growing faith, and several wise angelic therapists.

Today, our family stands strong, our sons flourishing into young adults. My passion for psychology and neuroscience led me to explore trainings and certifications focused on the intricate workings of the mind-body connection through therapeutic movement and somatic emotion and stress processing. Since 2008, I've been sharing these insights through private sessions and coaching, driven by a desire to spread joy and healing.

Life is a paradox of “bothness”, full of beauty and broken, celebration and heartbreaking. The fullness of our human experience is what makes it meaningful and it is possible to live out unconditional joy alongside the hard. As out of reach as it may feel in this moment, I promise it’s possible, me and my family are a living testimony!

My Approach: You are Uniquely You

I am now blessed with a deep passion to walk alongside others on their journeys of beauty and brokenness and toward authentic healing by addressing the whole person: mind, body, heart, and soul. Through mindful, therapeutic movement and integrative coaching, I work with others like you to pave the path to transformative change in a holistic way.

Two beautiful truths, you are an expert in you and change is possible! However, you can’t just think your way into a new way of living. You must live, sense, and feel your way into new ways of being and feeling. This is because our bodies, our minds, our souls are irrevocably interwoven. This is where I come in to support you along the way to be curious, discover, and move toward change.

We were not meant to walk this road alone and your ability to live into unconditional joy is worth the investment to live your one wild and precious life to the fullest.

My life motto is inspired by spiritual theologian Ram Dass, "When all is said and done, we're really just all walking each other home."
